About the role:
Join our Kingsville aged care team as a Weekend Chef and play a vital role in creating enjoyable dining experiences for our residents.
Working Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00am to 5:00pm, you'll prepare nutritious, high-quality meals that support resident wellbeing and enhance daily life.
This is a hands‐on role where you'll oversee food preparation, maintain kitchen standards, and contribute to a welcoming dining setting.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals in line with established menus and resident needs
Plan, order and manage food supplies to support efficient kitchen operations
Cater to specialised dietary requirements, including texture-modified meals and supplements
Maintain exceptional standards of food presentation, consistency and service delivery
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, hygiene standards and HACCP requirements
Monitor stock levels, minimise waste and support effective inventory management
Collaborate with hospitality and care teams to enhance the overall resident dining experience
This is a Permanent Part Time opportunity working 15 hours per week across Saturdays and Sundays, 9:00am - 5:00pm.
About you:
This is the place for you if you have:
Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
Have experience in a Residential Aged Care kitchen environment (ordering, budgeting and rostering)
Have worked with specialised diets, including supplements and texture modified foods
Fully conversant with HACCP and food safety legislation
Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions
Are committed to being part of a workplace culture based on the

Essentials for working in Aged Care:
A current Working With Children Check card
Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
Australian working rights
Ability to pass a national police clearance and NDIS Clearance
