We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented **Liability Claims Specialist** to join our Claims Services team within the Home Claims business unit.
In this key role, you'll be responsible for effectively managing home liability claims and high-value recoveries while delivering exceptional service to our members.This role is available on an initial 12month Contract/Secondment with potential for permanency.
**About the Role*** Manage a portfolio of complex liability and recovery claims with a proactive and member-focused approach.
* Handle reinsurance activities, including daily management, monitoring, and notifications.
* Build and maintain productive relationships with legal advisors, solicitors, and service providers.
* Provide guidance and support to Home Claims Specialists, Home Assessors, and Team Leaders.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement to maximise claim recoveries.
* Ensure compliance with claims guidelines, service standards, and the Insurance Code of Practice.




**What We're Looking For*** Proven ability to work collaboratively in a customer service-focused team.
* Strong relationship management skills with members, staff, and suppliers.
* Analytical mindset and the ability to make sound commercial decisions.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Robust organizational and planning skills with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
* Resilience in handling difficult conversations and managing competing priorities.
* Demonstrated understanding of liability claims management is advantageous.
* Familiarity with insurance contracts and general insurance legislation is desirable.
* Certificate IV or Diploma in General Insurance (ANZIIF endorsed) is desirable.
