Public Space Operations is a service delivery, customer focused and commercially driven business that prides itself on keeping Brisbane's streets and public spaces clean, green and secure for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike.
The Role
As a Team Member Natural Environment, you'll help maintain, restore and enhance Brisbane's natural areas through bushland rehabilitation, weed management, environmental maintenance and conservation activities.
Working as part of a field-based team, you'll contribute to environmental projects, maintenance programs and fire management activities while helping protect Brisbane's natural assets
To be successful you will have:
ability to work collaboratively in a team workplace and contribute to team goals
Certificate III in Natural Area Management, Conservation and Land Management, Protected Area Management or related experience
knowledge of natural area management, rehabilitation and regeneration practices
ability to assist with work planning, maintenance schedules and basic reporting
strong communication and interpersonal skills




understanding of wildfire suppression and prescribed burning principles
experience in the safe application of herbicides and horticultural chemicals
Agricultural Chemical Distribution Control (ACDC) licence or ability to obtain
Desirable
Level 1 Fire Accreditation or willingness to obtain
Medium Rigid (MR) driver's licence or willingness to obtain
current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain.
