Our teams are based in key mining regions across Australia, India, Africa, North and South America.About the RoleThe Mechanical Engineer will provide detailed engineering work to assist Project Leads, Lead engineers and the broader design teams by producing mechanical design deliverables to support the required project objectives.
Responsible for detailed engineering design in accordance with relevant standards and design principles.

Responsible for detailed engineering design in accordance with relevant standards and design principlesPrepare technical documentation, such as specifications, scopes of work and Material Take-Offs (MTOs)



to support the mechanical design and delivery of projectsAssist Lead engineers and discipline engineers in developing project specific engineering design deliverables Contribute to the development of technical design reports, and ensure project design deliverables meet customer requirements, minimum design standards and quality standardsAssist project managers with all facets of project engineering activities from project cost control, project scheduling, specification, procurement, inspecting, expediting, construction and commissioning About You Degree in Mechanical Engineering 2–5 years' experience within mining, minerals processing, heavy industry or related sectorsStrong analytical, problem-solving and technical skillsHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomesProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to communicate effectively with clients, contractors and project teamsUnderstanding of engineering safety systems and relevant legislationExperience supporting construction and commissioning activities is advantageousAbility to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teamsWillingness to travel domestically and internationally What We Offer Employee perks including health and wellness initiativesAccess to Downer Group benefitsPersonalised career development and growth working with an industry leading team.
