You will hire the team, set the standard, open the doors and run it — and the way you do all of that will define this showroom for years.You will be accountable for the whole picture: sales performance, customer experience, your people, operations and the way the showroom looks and feels every day.And you will lead from the floor, taking the difficult customer conversation, coaching in the moment, and setting the standard everyone else works to.
All of it backed by a national retail team and a global business that is genuinely excited about this market.What You Will OwnOpening & LaunchLead the preparation and launch of Maroochydore — recruiting and onboarding your team with People & Culture, getting the showroom ready to trade, and making the first impression count.Sales & Customer ExperienceAchieve showroom targets and support every consultant to hit theirs.
Guide customers through a consultative sale, keep satisfaction high, and resolve enquiries and complaints professionally.Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, coach and develop a high-performing team from scratch.
Build a positive, performance-driven culture aligned to our values, and communicate priorities through regular meetings,



reviews and coaching.Showroom OperationsManage rosters, staffing and attendance to meet demand.
Oversee administration, showroom expenses, accurate pricing, orders, follow-ups and end-of-day processes.Brand, Visual Merchandising & SafetyPartner with Visual Merchandising on updates and changeovers, coordinate stock and deliveries, keep inventory accurate, and maintain a strong workplace safety culture.Who You AreA natural leader who inspires and develops people — customer-obsessed, commercially sharp, and ready to build something of your own.Demonstrated leadership experience in retail, ideally premium or luxuryExperience opening or launching a new retail location is a genuine advantageStrong commercial acumen, comfortable managing showroom budgets and performanceA proven recruiter and coach who can build a cohesive team from the ground upHighly organised, with real attention to detail and operational disciplineA confident problem-solver who can negotiate and influence outcomesResilient and able to work at pace across competing prioritiesExperience in furniture, textiles, interior design or related industries preferredIntermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and retail systemsAvailable to work weekends as part of your regular rosterAI at King LivingWe are actively embracing AI across the business to cut friction and speed up decisions.
