DescriptionOverviewWe are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Inbound Topology Program Manager (L6) to define and deliver the future state of our inbound supply chain network.
This role sits within the Supply Chain Long Term Planning team and is responsible for shaping upstream topology across IXD (Inbound Cross Dock), SDC (Storage and Distribution Centers), and other inbound network initiatives.You will own the strategic direction and end-to-end program management of initiatives that improve cost, speed, and scalability across the inbound network.
This role requires solid ownership, deep analytical capability, and the ability to influence without authority across a broad set of stakeholders including Stores and Finance.Key job responsibilitiesInbound Topology StrategyDefine and evolve long-term inbound network strategy across IXD, SDC, and emerging upstream modelsEvaluate trade-offs across inventory placement, transportation cost, and lead timeTranslate business growth plans into scalable, efficient inbound network designsProgram Ownership & ExecutionOwn end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs from concept through launch and stabilizationBuild and manage multi-year roadmaps, including milestones, risks, and dependenciesDrive alignment across Supply Chain, Operations, Stores, Finance, Tech, and partner teamsAnalytical & Commercial LeadershipUse data to identify opportunities, validate strategies, and drive decision-makingPartner closely with Stores stakeholders and Finance teams to develop robust business cases, including financial modelling, scenario analysis, and ROI evaluationBalance customer experience, cost-to-serve,
and inventory efficiency in all recommendationsEstablish metrics and mechanisms to measure network performance and program successStakeholder InfluenceInfluence senior stakeholders across multiple organizations without direct authorityLead decision-making in ambiguous situations with competing prioritiesCommunicate clearly through written narratives and executive-level reviewsInnovation & Continuous ImprovementChallenge existing inbound paradigms and identify step-change improvementsPilot and scale new inbound capabilities and operating modelsBuild repeatable frameworks and tools for long-term network planningBasic Qualifications5+ years of program or project management experienceExperience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvementsExperience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadershipExperience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environmentExperience working cross functionally with non-tech teamsPreferred Qualifications2+ years of driving process improvements experienceMaster's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related fieldAcknowledgement Of CountryIn the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
