Elevate Legal Talent is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer for a 12-month secondment with one of Australia's leading energy businesses.Commencing around 12 October ****, with the possibility of an earlier start for handover, the role can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney and offers a hybrid working arrangement.
Full-time is preferred, although there may be flexibility for the right candidate.Working as part of the Corporate, Regulatory & Disputes Legal team, you will provide strategic legal advice across complex employment, industrial relations and broader people-related matters.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal and strategic advice on complex employment and industrial relations mattersAdvise on employee relations, workplace conduct, performance management and disciplinary mattersSupport the management of psychosocial risk and workplace compliance obligationsManage and assist with employment-related claims, disputes and litigationConduct and support internal investigations, including sensitive workplace mattersProvide legal advice on whistleblower matters and investigationsPartner with HR, Compliance and business stakeholders to deliver practical, commercially focused legal solutionsMonitor legislative and regulatory developments and advise the business on their impactAbout YouWe are looking for an Australian-qualified lawyer with 5+ years' PQE and:Strong employment and industrial relations experienceDemonstrated experience advising on complex workplace mattersExperience conducting or supporting workplace investigationsExposure to employment litigation, disputes and claims managementStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsSound judgement and the ability to navigate sensitive mattersA practical and commercially focused approach to legal adviceExperience gained in a reputable private practice or in-house environmentExperience advising on whistleblower matters will be highly regarded.Why Join?
