About the role
Children/Youth Support Workers are responsible for supporting our young people placed in family-based Out of Home Care (OOHC).
Some other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Undertake structured supervision and observation of contact with family members which may entail participating in activities both within and outside the agency premises.




Provide transportation and/or escort children and young people where necessary and appropriate.
Keep comprehensive records of work undertaken, and provide these promptly in line with Key Assets Policies and Procedures, including preparing reports for reviews.
About you
Certificate III in Community Services, Youth Work or equivalent, or training in youth or social care is preferred.
2 years' experience working directly with children/young people, including Teenagers, in the care system or other relevant field, both through individual and group work.
Have experience in dealing with children and young people with 'complex needs' and/or who have suffered from trauma.
Be well-organised and an excellent communicator.
Available during weekdays, afternoons and early evenings and weekends.
Full, clean and open Australian driver's licence and access to a fully registered/insured vehicle is essential (you will be required to use your own vehicle, km's reimbursed).
Must have or be willing to obtain a valid Working with Children Check for NSW.
