The Team

The North West Cancer Centre, Burnie,provides comprehensive specialist outpatient Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and Clinical Haematology Services to the North West Tasmanian Community.
The NWCC is affiliated with the Northern Cancer Service with it situated in the North West Regional Hospital complex and provides direct access to a range of medical, surgical and hospital services required to deliver quality, person-centred cancer care.

The Role

Are you an experienced Registered Nurse ready to take the next step in your career?
We are seeking a motivated Clinical Coordinator to play a pivotal role in the day-to-day coordination of patient care within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team. In this rewarding position, you will help lead patient flow, coordinate admissions and discharges, provide expert clinical guidance, and contribute to the delivery of secure, high-quality care for patients.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with leadership responsibilities while working alongside passionate healthcare professionals. You'll be supported by experienced nursing leaders and have opportunities to contribute to service improvement, quality initiatives, and the development of contemporary clinical practices.

You will need

Demonstrated experience coordinating patient care, patient flow and discharge planning in a clinical setting.
Proven ability to lead and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to achieve positive patient outcomes.
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships and manage challenging situations effectively.
Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to provide guidance, advice and support to nursing teams.
Knowledge of safety, quality and contemporary healthcare practices within a clinical environment.
The initiative, judgement and problem-solving skills required to coordinate services in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Permanent, part time, day worker position, workingup to15.2 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary

$109,767 to $115,813 pro rata per annum + our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement ****.

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type
