Imperial Truck Repairs is looking for qualified and experienced Welders to join our team in Kembla Grange, NSW.

Position Overview: /n

The Welder will do repairs and maintenance of a range of trailers ranging from minor to major repairs.

Duties and responsibilities: /n

/n

- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures

/n

- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements

/n

- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded

/n

- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces

/n

- Weld components using welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)

/n

- Repair and maintain trailers by welding pieces and filling gaps

/n





- Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety

/n

Requirements and skills: /n

/n

- Trade qualification in Welding – desirable or at least 3 years of proven experience as Welder

/n

- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures

/n

- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)

/n

- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings

/n

- Familiarity with executing various welding operations and processes in compliance with safety policies.

/n

- Be able to follow and carry out instructions cooperatively and accurately.

/n

- Have a can-do attitude and want to learn.

/n

/n

Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 annually.
