Job description

We're working with a Tier 2 developer-builder who need General Foremen across their Sydney projects. With seven sites to choose from, all high-rise residential and mixed-use, each between $400m and $600m. Some are at early works and some are well into fitout, so you can pick the stage that suits you. Every one of them is a few minutes from a metro or train station.

As General Foreman you're across the whole build, coordinating every trade on site, driving the program and keeping quality and safety where they need to be. You'll work alongside the Site Manager who runs the site, with the Construction Manager across the group.

The reason this one is worth a look is the business behind it. They have a 12-year secured pipeline, which barely exists in this market, so the work isn't going to run out on you halfway through. The Construction Manager has been there eight years and the senior leadership around him has been in place just as long. Decisions get made quickly and you're left alone to run your part of the site.

Each site is properly resourced too.



You're running your trades and your program rather than covering three roles at once, and if Site Manager is where you're headed next, this is a business that promotes from within.

What they're after

- Proven General Foreman experience on residential or mixed-use projects
- Tower experience on 15 storeys and up will be highly regarded
- Trade qualified, carpentry or similar
- Able to run a lot of trades at once and keep a program honest
- The kind of presence that holds subbies to account without losing them
