We are seeking an experienced mechanic or fitter of automotive parts for our busy Hervey Bay workshop. This role comes with the opportunity to work independently within a fantastic team, generous renumeration and no weekend work. You will gain experience in vehicle air conditioning with the opportunity to gain qualifications in automotive air conditioning repairs for the right candidate.
What you will be doing:

- Installing motor vehicle parts including starters and alternators
- Installing vehicle electrical accessories including dash cameras and immobilisers
- Installing 12V electrical systems
- Assisting with installation and repairs of air conditioning systems
- General workshop tasks to support tradesperson

What are we looking for:
- Experience in mechanical work or accessory fitting
- Experience with vehicle electrical systems is favourable but not required
- Manual automotive licence
- Ability to read wiring diagrams an advantage but not required
- Strong communication skills and the ability to fit into our team
- Solid attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to follow instructions and an interest in mechanical or electrical systems
