Our Australian region, boasts a fleet of over 50 vessels across multiple ports along the East and West Coast, with a significant presence in PNG. We pride ourselves on our safety culture, work ethic and commitment to the environment. We are seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to support our Bunbury and Esperance Operations.

About the role:

Reporting to the Contract Manager of Bunbury/Esperance, this full time position is responsible for ensuring that the running maintenance of the fleet is executed in a safe, efficient and cost effective way. The technical Superintendent will maintain the technical status and maximize uptime.

This position requires the successful candidate to live within a 1 hour drive of Bunbury.

Qualifications

Key accountabilities of the role:

- ● Coordinate and execute the daily running maintenance within budget on board vessels

● Monitor and follow -up on the planned maintenance system

● Generate and approve purchase orders and requisitions and receive and inspect good delivered.

● Supervise, coach,



and instruct Chief Engineers if and when required to ensure smooth and professional on-board technical management

● Undertake vessel inspections and report on the status of the vessel to the Fleet Director

● Investigate and analyse root causes of defects and take timely corrective and preventative actions

● Arrange surveys with flag state and classification authorities and other relevant parties Ensure full compliance of vessel certifications with flag state and class requirements

● Plan, coordinate and execute dry dockings in line with quality standards, agreed budgets and timelines

● Interaction Supervise and evaluate activities and performance of third-party contractors and vendors. Ensure damages to be surveyed and repaired in close consultation with classification societies and the insurance department Optimize and implement technical (new build) standards Maintain daily communication with assigned vessels

In addition to the TSI duties the following criteria will be applied to the role.

The successful candidate will be required to;

- Act as the shared roster leader for Bunbury, answering calls from the Port and planning shipping in line with the local fatigue management guidelines.

- Work between Port of Bunbury and the Port of Esperance.

- Be available to work a predominately Monday to Friday roster, and when needed weekends, early mornings, and late evenings.

- Reporting to the Contract Manager for Bunbury and Esperance.





- Identify and develop talented people, to enable a continued pipeline of skilled Engineers in Boluda towage.

- Able to work well in a Team environment, creating an engaged and empowered culture.

About you:

- Experience in Project Management

- A strong communicator (verbal and written)

- Minimum 3 – 5 years in Ship Management as a Technical Superintendent or equivalent.

- Team player with a team-oriented approach, maintaining high standards and good work ethics.

- High level of organisational and planning skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines.

- Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high quality outcomes that are accurate, complete, and timely.
