If you enjoy payroll but also like having some variety in your day, this could be a great opportunity to join a growing Brisbane business where you'll be part of a supportive, close-knit finance team.

You'll take ownership of payroll for around 150 employees while also working across Accounts Payable and importantly, you'll be working with streamlined, automated systems, so there's no time-consuming manual entry of timesheets!

With the business continuing to grow, they're looking for an experienced Payroll Officer who can bring solid payroll knowledge, enjoy being part of a collaborative team and settle into a role where their contribution will genuinely be valued.

Your responsibilities will include:

- End-to-end payroll processing across multiple entities (150 staff fortnightly pay)
- Interpreting and applying multiple Modern Awards
- Reviewing payroll data and imported timesheets prior to processing
- Processing payroll accurately and on time
- Managing Accounts Payable invoices
- Preparing supplier payments and ABA files
- Working across multiple Xero entities
- Assisting with general finance administration as required




- Working closely with the wider finance team to ensure everything runs smoothly

To be successful in this role you'll bring:

- Demonstrated end-to-end payroll experience
- Experience interpreting Awards
- Experienced in Xero and using workforce management/payroll systems such as Tanda, Deputy, Employment Hero, WageLoch or similar would be highly advantageous
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- The ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment
