The primary function of your role as the Purchasing & Inventory Assistant is to support the Purchasing Officer and Inventory Controller by assisting with the management and reporting of inventory levels, ensuring stock is maintained at appropriate levels and that finished products meet customer requirements and internal performance targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) accurately based on requests from internal departments/

- Follow up on approvals and ensure POs comply with company policies.

- Assist with receipting Pos and the procurement team in day-to-day administrative tasks

- Maintain stock level counts in relation to raw materials.

- Ensure all emails are attended to within 24hours to make sure relevant stakeholders are having requests met.

- Communicate with suppliers to confirm availability, pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.

- Maintain skilled relationships with vendors to support smooth procurement processes.

- Maintain accurate purchase records, invoices, and supplier documentation.

- Assist in ensuring that the inventory area operates efficiently to respond to customer requests and timeframes.

- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory management.





- Undertake and complete all inventory processing requirements to proactively monitor and manage product inventory and stock levels.

- Complete daily cycle counts, and end of month stocktakes reviewing results to optimise stock levels.

- Ensure timely, full and accurate communication with all relevant areas (e.g. Production, Inventory, Warehouse Dispatch) regarding stock requirements.

- Ensure all documentation, either electronic or paper, relating to inventory is maintained and completed in accordance with agreed timeframes.
