We’re looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Associate to lead food safety, quality and hygiene at our processing site.

Leading our Quality Assurance and Hygiene teams, you’ll oversee the site’s Food Safety and Quality Management System (FSQMS), drive compliance and continuous improvement, and work closely with operations to ensure our products meet the highest standards.

The role

As our Senior Quality Assurance Associate, you will:

- Lead the Quality Assurance and Hygiene teams, providing clear direction, coaching and support.
- Own and continuously improve the site’s Food Safety and Quality Management System (FSQMS).
- Coordinate external audits and act as a key site contact for regulatory authorities, customers and certification bodies.
- Maintain and validate site HACCP plans across raw materials, processing and finished products.
- Oversee hygiene, cleaning and environmental monitoring programs.
- Manage microbiological, chemical and sensory testing programs.
- Oversee product shelf-life testing and validation.
- Partner with operational teams to embed GMP, food safety and 5S practices.
- Oversee supporting programs including allergens, pest management, supplier qualification and calibration.
- Investigate issues and ensure corrective actions and audit non-conformances are effectively closed out.

About you

You’ll bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Science, Engineering or a related discipline.




- At least 3 years’ experience in food manufacturing, food processing or FMCG.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams, ideally across Quality and/or Hygiene.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety management systems.
- Lead Auditor qualification and HACCP Practitioner training.
- Experience coordinating external, regulatory or customer audits.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with operational teams.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
