Due to an increase in the number of projects, we are seeking an experienced WHS Advisor to join our team on the Sunshine Coast.

The Role

The WHS Advisor will work closely with management and the project teams to carry out a range of duties to support and deliver successful project outcomes. You will be responsible for applying and supervising the Integrated Management System for BBN Constructions while maintaining a robust safety workplace for the company.

Key Responsibilities

- Work as an integral part of the team to ensure BBN HSEQ Policies, Procedures and obligations have been effectively communicated to all levels within the Company.

- Influence a positive attitude and commitment towards safety across the business.

- Review Subcontractors SWMS and ensure subcontractors are working in accordance with their SWMS.

- Assist in reviewing and developing the HSEQ management system to promote and protect the wellbeing of personnel.

- Provide ongoing HSEQ advice and support to maintain current legislative requirements, risk management, HSEQ issues, policy, and procedures.

- Provide ongoing HSEQ advice to employees consistent with the company's policies and procedures,



HSEQ legislation and other guidance material.

- Lead and/or assist with incident investigations and develop corrective actions.

- Conduct workplace audits and inspections.

- Facilitate and coordinate relevant safety meetings and forums for project team members, stake holders, and sub-contractors.

- Provide monthly safety reports

- Undertake hands on activities when required.

- Conduct site hazard and risk inspections.

- Coordinate the implementation of preventative measures and or close out of corrective actions.

Experience, skills and qualifications:

- Recognised tertiary qualifications in HSEQ

- Previous experience in Commercial Construction sector

- Preferred minimum 5 years' experience

- C-Class driver's licence, with the ability to travel to site and support site staff.

- Internal audit qualifications and experience in delivering formal HSEQ audits desired.

- Ability to be pro-active and effectively communicate to all levels of management.

- Proficient in HAMMERTECH Platform or similar preferred
