Minchinbury Anglican Church is a growing multicultural church in Sydney’s western suburbs. Our vision is to see all people in multicultural western Sydney renewed through the love of Jesus Christ. Our mission, in line with this vision, and as outlined in the Current Testament, is to make disciples and multiply communities who love Jesus and show Jesus’ love.
The Role
We are seeking to employ a part time (2 - 2.5 days) youth worker to work alongside our existing ministry team and volunteers in our growing youth ministry. Remuneration will be in line with the Sydney Anglican Diocese guidelines.
The Responsibilities
Depending on gifting and training goals, specific responsibilities may include:
- Preaching at Minchinbury Youth (Friday Evening)
- Leading at Minchinbury Youth (Friday Evening)
- Attending Jnr High Discipleship Group (Sunday Morning)
- Leading Church Services (Sunday Night)
- Preaching on Sunday (if appropriate).
- Training and encouraging others in their leadership of young people.
The Requirements
Character
- A loyal, humble,
teachable, generous, and servant hearted follower of Jesus.
- Someone who is creative, innovative, and able to implement ideas.
Convictions
- Have theological convictions that are reformed and evangelical.
- Has a heart for multicultural ministry and mission.
- A passion for kids, youth, and family ministry.
Competency
- Working towards a theological degree or advanced diploma.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team context and inspire others in ministry.
- Good communication, administrative, and relational skills.
