Full Description

The Position

This full-time private practice opportunity is suited to an experienced Interventional Cardiologist seeking to establish a long-term presence within a growing regional community.

You will provide specialist outpatient consultations, inpatient cardiology care and diagnostic and interventional procedures. The role offers opportunities to undertake diagnostic coronary angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), coronary physiology including FFR and iFR, and intravascular imaging including IVUS and OCT, subject to credentialling,



clinical need and agreed service arrangements.

You will also contribute to patient management before and after procedures, participate in appropriate on-call or shared coverage arrangements, and work collaboratively with medical, nursing and allied health teams.

A key component of the role will be developing and maintaining strong referral relationships with GPs, specialists and other healthcare providers, supporting greater access to specialist cardiac services.

The Hospital

The role is supported by an established private hospital with access to cardiac catheterisation facilities for diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The hospital provides a multidisciplinary environment for specialist inpatient and procedural care.

Essential Criteria

- Medical qualification recognised for practice in Australia
- FRACP in Cardiology or equivalent, with AHPRA specialist registration
- Advanced training and experience in Interventional Cardiology
- Competence in coronary angiography and PCI
- Eligibility for Medicare and private hospital credentialling
- Robust commitment to patient safety, clinical quality and collaborative care
