Join our Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC) team at RAAF Base Amberley as a Senior Storeperson. In this role, you’ll lead the day-to-day stores function supporting maintenance operations across the site, while providing guidance and leadership to the stores team.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Site Manager, you will oversee stores operations supporting maintenance activities across the site, ensuring inventory integrity, compliance and service delivery requirements are met.
Responsibilities include:

- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day stores function, providing guidance, mentoring and support to Storepersons.
- Manage the receipt, storage, maintenance and issue of inventory across the site.
- Coordinate stocktakes, audits and inventory management activities while maintaining accurate asset, equipment and inventory records.
- Liaise with Defence customers and internal stakeholders to ensure service delivery requirements are met.
- Monitor and promote compliance with safety, quality and environmental requirements, while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and on-the-job training to support team capability and performance.




- Complete reporting, documentation and administrative requirements associated with stores operations.

About You
You are a proactive and organised stores or logistics professional who enjoys leading people, building stakeholder relationships and delivering high-quality service outcomes.
You will bring:

- Current LF Forklift Licence.
- Experience leading or supervising stores, inventory or logistics operations.
- Strong inventory management and stock control experience.
- Experience using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook). SAP S/4HANA experience is highly regarded.
- Experience working in a regulated environment such as Defence, maintenance, logistics or supply chain operations. Defence industry experience is highly regarded.
- Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Veterans and Australian Defence Force Reservists are encouraged to apply.

You must be an Australian Citizen and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
