Cancer Care Associates has an exciting opportunity for experienced Oncology Registered Nurses interested in joining as our first Oncology Registered Travel Nurse.

The role will support continuity of high-quality patient care when sites experience vacancies, periods of leave, increased patient demand, or service growth.

The role is an exciting opportunity for a nurse who enjoys variety, adaptability and working across different clinical environments while remaining part of the CCA team.

About the Opportunity

The Oncology Registered Travel Nurse will be a full-time position, based in Sydney, and will provide clinical support across CCA treatment centres as required.

While the role will have a primary base location, travel to other CCA sites will be an inherent requirement of the position.

The successful nurse will:

- Provide oncology nursing support across multiple CCA locations.
- Assist with planned leave coverage, vacancies and service demands.
- Support continuity of care and consistent clinical standards.
- Work alongside local multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Travel Expectations

To maximise operational efficiency and minimise disruption, travel assignments outside Sydney will generally be:

- Planned for 3-4 consecutive days or longer where possible.
- Scheduled 1-2 months in advance for known leave and workforce requirements.
- Occasionally required at shorter notice to support unforeseen vacancies or operational needs.

In most circumstances, CCA will aim to provide at least 72 hours' notice for unplanned travel requirements. However,



employees should be aware that exceptional circumstances may arise where 24-48 hours' notice is required.

Qualifications and Skills

- Current and unrestricted registration and experience as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Experience administering Cytotoxic chemotherapy and related cancer treatments, including ADAC chemotherapy competency.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating empathy for patients and their caregivers.
- Strong clinical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective care planning and coordination skills.
- Dedication to quality improvement and evidence-based practice.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Desirable:

- Competency in CVAD management, IV Cannulation, and Phlebotomy
- Experience in Clinical Trials
