About the role

You'll be the first point of contact for patients and referring doctors: often the calm, reassuring voice on the phone for someone who's anxious about a diagnosis or a procedure. Behind the scenes, you'll keep the practice running smoothly. Most of your work is done remotely from a supplied laptop, with 5 half-days at the Wesley Clinic rooms each fortnight — the rest is for working from home on a regular schedule within weekdays, 8:30am–4:00pm (with lunch break), $35–$45 per hour depending on experience. Key responsibilities

- Manage clinic bookings, procedure scheduling and theatre lists

- Answer calls and respond to patient enquiries with care and professionalism

- Coordinate referrals, correspondence and patient reminders

- Process Medicare, DVA, private health fund and gap payments (Gentu/Eclipse)

- Maintain accurate, up-to-date digital patient records

- Liaise with referring doctors, radiology, lung function and sleep study providers

About you





- A genuine people person who finds it rewarding to support patients and their families through a challenging time

- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently at home, without needing close long-term supervision

- Strong administration background; medical admin experience desirable but not essential

- High attention to detail and able to juggle competing priorities

- Discreet, trustworthy and comfortable handling confidential information

- Tech-savvy, proficient in MS Word/Excel; experience with Gentu/Eclipse a bonus

- Calm under pressure and adaptable — while still a genuine team player when you're in office
