About the role

Cat Napping is an independently owned luxury cattery with over 15 years of experience caring for Melbourne's cats. We are looking for Casual Cattery & Office Attendants to join our team and support the day-to-day running of our busy cattery. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining exceptionally high standards, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and genuinely enjoys providing outstanding care to both cats and their owners.

Key responsibilities

- Deliver exceptional customer service to clients and support a customer-focused culture

- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the cattery

- Work efficiently while managing multiple tasks and priorities

- Follow procedures accurately and consistently

- Feed cats according to their individual requirements

- Administer medication when required

- Clean cat accommodation and general cattery areas

- Provide enrichment and monitor cat wellbeing

- Assist with light administration duties

- Communicate professionally with clients and team members

About you

- Someone who notices the little details and takes pride in doing things properly

- Excellent communication, organisational and computer skills





- Able to work independently and use initiative once trained

- Availability to work in a small team setting and calibrate within

- Physically fit and comfortable working in warmer and colder environments

- Knowledge of cat health, breeds and behaviour

- Current driver's licence and reliable transport

- Willingness to work at Tullamarine and Spotswood locations when required

- Previous experience in a cattery, kennel or veterinary clinic is highly regarded

- Available to work weekends, public holidays and peak holiday periods

Availability Requirements

This role involves a mixture of morning shifts (9am–1pm) and afternoon shifts (3pm–6pm) across a 7-day rotating roster.

Average hours are 6–10 hours per week initially, with the opportunity to increase to 10–20 hours in the future.

As we operate 365 days a year, successful applicants must be available to work weekends, public holidays and peak holiday periods.
