4-Year Fixed-Term | Full-Time | Coorparoo

We are seeking an experienced educator to lead Humanities and Languages Other Than English (LOTE) as Head of Faculty, commencing January 2027.

This is a meaningful leadership opportunity for a teacher with strong curriculum credentials and the capacity to inspire both students and colleagues. The role sits within our Middle Leadership team and carries responsibility for the Humanities and LOTE program across Years 5 to 12. It is a 4-year fixed-term appointment with an underlying full-time teaching position and a teaching load of 3 lines.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of the Humanities and LOTE curriculum in alignment with QCAA and Australian Curriculum requirements

- Build and sustain a high-performing faculty through active coaching, career development and collaborative practice

- Oversee assessment design, moderation and QCAA compliance processes, including endorsement, confirmation and external assessment

- Use student achievement data to drive informed curriculum and pedagogical decisions

- Manage faculty resources, budget and reporting in line with College expectations

- Contribute to whole-school strategy as part of the Middle Leadership team

The Successful Candidate Will:

- Actively support and embody the Catholic and Augustinian mission of the College, with a genuine commitment to the mission of Catholic education

- Hold tertiary qualifications in Education with a specialisation relevant to Humanities or LOTE disciplines

- Hold current Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration

- Demonstrate proven curriculum leadership and the ability to develop and support a teaching team

- Show a strong understanding of QCAA senior processes and the Australian Curriculum





- Engage students with intellectual rigour and pastoral warmth

- Build positive, professional relationships across the College community
