We’re excited to welcome a passionate Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist to our well-established team at Blackwood Dental on a part-time basis.

For over 40 years, Blackwood Dental has been a trusted part of the local community, known for providing exceptional patient care and quality dentistry. Our reputation has been built largely through word-of-mouth referrals, and we continue to welcome new patients to the practice every day.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced and supportive team in a modern, full-service clinic where you can build robust, long-term relationships with your patients and play an important role in their ongoing oral health.

About the Role

This is a part-time position, with flexibility around the days worked for the right candidate.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Providing high-quality hygiene and periodontal care

- Scaling, cleaning and preventative treatments

- Educating patients on oral health and preventative care

- Conducting routine examinations and assessments within your scope of practice

- Working collaboratively with our dentists on patient treatment plans

- Maintaining accurate clinical records and high standards of patient care

- Building strong, long-term relationships with your patients





- Creating a comfortable, positive and welcoming experience for every patient

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you:

- Are qualified as an Oral Health Therapist or Dental Hygienist

- Hold current, unrestricted AHPRA registration

- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Have strong attention to detail and high clinical standards

- Are passionate about preventative dentistry and patient education

- Have a proactive, positive and patient-focused approach

- Are confident working both independently and collaboratively within a clinical team

- Enjoy building genuine, long-term relationships with your patients
