MANAWISE Care is growing in Cairns; Queensland and we’re looking for passionate individuals to join our Residential Care team on a permanent Part Time basis.

About the Role

n

You will be working across our residential homes with exciting opportunities to support new homes as MANAWISE continues to grow and expand.

n

As a Care Practitioner, you’ll support young people facing complex challenges by providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment. You’ll play a key role in helping them build resilience, develop life skills, and create brighter futures.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Create a safe, supportive, and structured home environment
n
- Build strong, positive relationships with young people
n
- Support emotional, social, and life skill development
n
- Encourage healthy decision-making and wellbeing
n
- Collaborate with a therapeutic care team to deliver tailored plans
n
- Complete daily documentation, case notes, and reports
n

n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Experience in Youth Work, Child Safety, or a related field
n
- Current, unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence (open class)
n
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention,



or similar (or working towards it)
n
- First Aid & CPR certification
n
- Availability for shift work (including sleepovers & weekends)
n
- Current Paid Blue Card
n
- National Police Check (within 12 months)
n
- Ability to obtain LCS check
n
- Hope & Healing Module certificate (we can assist if needed)
n
