Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Retail Manager (General) for a retail outlet located in a remote regional community in Australia. The ideal candidate will support store operations, manage inventory and staff, ensure compliance with workplace regulations, and help achieve operational and financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage product mix, stock levels, and service standards
n
- Implement purchasing, pricing, and marketing strategies
n
- Promote and advertise store products and services
n
- Assist customers with product selection and usage guidance
n
- Maintain records of stock, sales, and financial transactions
n
- Handle budgeting and daily store operations
n
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff members
n
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) regulations
n
- Operate inventory control systems, POS systems, and bookkeeping software
n




- Coordinate smooth store operations in a remote community setting
n

Requirements

n

n
- Previous experience as a Retail Manager / Store Manager / Assistant Store Manager
n
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, POS systems, and bookkeeping software
n
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in staff supervision, training, and team leadership
n
- Good understanding of WHS and HR practices
n
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
n
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
n
- Experience working in regional or remote communities is preferred
n
- Knowledge of indigenous culture and remote community environments will be an advantage.
