About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Telecommunications Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex telecommunications projects supporting a major customer in the mining and energy sector.

This role will be responsible for the end-to-end management of rollout, expansion and turnkey telecommunications projects, covering technologies and infrastructure including LTE (4G), 5G RAN, Core, OAM, IP and Transport networks, equipment installation and associated power works.

The successful candidate will manage projects across multiple Australian states, working closely with customers, engineering and implementation teams, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure delivery against agreed scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety and contractual requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Delivery Management

- Develop and maintain project plans and schedules using Microsoft Project Professional.
- Manage telecommunications rollout, expansion and turnkey projects.
- Lead engineering and telecommunications implementation activities, including the warranty phase.
- Manage project delivery against contract scope, budget, schedule, regulations and quality requirements.
- Manage project teams and supplier deliverables.
- Act as a key point of contact for customer communications.
- Lead weekly and monthly project meetings with clients.
- Manage project reporting, communication, escalation and information flow.
- Identify and consult on current opportunities with customers.




- Work with customers to secure acceptance certificates and completion sign-off.
- Forecast project revenue and costs.
- Monitor EAC (Estimate at Completion), ETC (Estimate to Completion) and actual project costs.
- Prepare monthly cost and revenue forecasts.
- Develop effort and cost estimates for project change requests.
- Pursue change requests and obtain customer approvals.

Risk, Quality, Safety & Governance

- Conduct monthly risk and opportunity management.
- Monitor, control and report project KPIs.
- Manage Project/Site Safety Plans.
- Manage Project Quality Plans.
- Manage HSE requirements and plans.
- Monitor contractual obligations, Statements of Work and supporting documentation.

Reporting & Project Closure

- Produce weekly and monthly project progress reports.
- Provide monthly project management and project tracking.
- Prepare monthly project cost and revenue forecasts.

- Manage project punch-list closure.
- Obtain customer acceptance.
- Produce the final project completion report and ensure as-built documentation is signed off.

- Client-approved project schedules
- Weekly and monthly project progress reporting
- Monthly project cost and revenue forecasts
- EAC, ETC and actuals analysis
- Project completion reports
- Customer acceptance certificates
- Closure of project punch-list items
- Nokia-approved as-built documentation.

The project will be considered successfully delivered when it is:

- Delivered against the agreed and approved project schedule
- Supported by acceptance of the agreed technical deliverables
- Clear of agreed project punch-list items
- Supported by client-approved as-built documentation.
