About the role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Officer to join our team on a part-time basis.

Working closely with the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing across multiple businesses and employee groups, along with payroll administration and day-to-day payroll support.

This job is located in Broadway/Ultimo office.

The ideal candidate will be accurate, proactive and vigilant, with the ability to identify issues, investigate discrepancies and look for opportunities to improve payroll systems and processes.

Experience with Employment Hero (EH) Payroll is highly preferred, and knowledge of the Post-Secondary Education Award 2020 (MA000075) will be highly regarded.

Key responsibilities

- End-to-end payroll processing
- Provide payroll administration support
- Prepare and process terminations and redundancies, including final entitlements, notice, leave payouts and applicable tax treatment.




- Deliver day-to-day payroll support across different businesses and employee groups
- Assist with payroll reconciliations, superannuation, STP, PAYG and other payroll compliance requirements.
- Work closely with Payroll, Finance and People & Culture teams to resolve payroll matters.
- Identify issues and investigate discrepancies
- Look for opportunities to improve payroll systems and processes

About you

- Experienced in payroll processing and detail-oriented
- Accurate, proactive and vigilant
- Ability to identify issues, investigate discrepancies and look for opportunities to improve payroll systems and processes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to confidently manage employee and manager payroll queries.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and manage payroll deadlines.
- Experience with Employment Hero (EH) Payroll is highly preferred
- Knowledge of the Post-Secondary Education Award 2020 (MA000075) will be highly regarded
