Founders today are building global companies from day one - but the systems that manage their money were built for a different era. Aspire exists to change that!

We’re building the financial operating system for global founders, bringing banking, software, and automation into a single platform so businesses can move faster across borders and stay focused on building.

Aspire is built by people who think from first principles, care deeply about solving hard problems, and take real ownership of their work. Our team brings global experience from leading fintech and technology companies, and many of us are former founders and operators who understand what it takes to build thoughtfully, make trade-offs, and deliver at scale in a global environment.

Backed by leading global investors including Y Combinator, Peak XV, and Lightspeed, Aspire has been trusted by more than 50,000 startups and growing businesses worldwide to manage their finances since 2018. Together with partners like J.P. Morgan, Visa, and Wise, we’re building for the next generation of global companies.

About the role

This is Aspire's first GTM hire in Australia - you'll be spearheading our expansion into the Australian market from Sydney or Melbourne. Your focus will be establishing and managing strategic relationships across the broader startup and SMB ecosystem, from incorporation and corpsec agencies to accounting firms, accelerators, VCs, and founder communities. The goal is to position Aspire as the go-to financial operating solution in market. You'll report to the Australia Country Lead and be a foundational part of Aspire's Australia GTM team.

About the team

Our Partnerships tribe builds and manages the relationships that extend Aspire's reach. You'll work with banks, platforms, and other partners to unlock recent opportunities for our customers.

What you'll own

- Formulate, design, implement, and manage Aspire's comprehensive partnership strategy for Australia
- Identify, acquire,

and actively manage high-impact partnerships that position Aspire as the financial operating solution of choice for startups and SMBs
- Develop and execute partner engagement initiatives - co-marketing, co-selling, joint events, integrations, and referral programs - that drive measurable growth
- Represent Aspire at industry events, conferences, and within partner communities, establishing Aspire as a recognised authority in the Australian SMB and startup landscape
- Define, track, and report on partnership performance metrics, using data-driven insights to continuously refine strategy
- Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales, Product, and Customer Success to align partnership activities, exchange market intelligence, and ensure a seamless partner and customer experience
- Maintain deep knowledge of the Australian SMB and startup ecosystem - competitive landscape, key stakeholders, trends, and funding environment

What you need to be successful

- 7-10 years of experience in partnerships, business development, channel partnerships, or ecosystem development within banking, fintech, B2B SaaS, or major technology (Cloud/SaaS)
- Proven expertise building and managing partnerships within the Australian SMB and startup ecosystem, with a strong understanding of key players
- A track record of driving measurable business growth through strategic partnerships and ecosystem development
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders internally and externally
- A highly self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset - you're comfortable working autonomously, thrive in ambiguity, and default to action
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to inform decisions and optimise performance
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; an MBA is a plus
- Has a strong grasp of artificial intelligence concepts and the ability to apply AI tools (e.g. Claude, n8n, etc.) and frameworks to solve real-world problems at Aspire.
