About the Team:The Child Safeguarding team is a specialist statewide function within the Early Childhood Regulatory Authority. It assesses notifications, complaints and intelligence and investigates allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct in early childhood education and care services. external authorities and sector stakeholders.The chance to provide clear advice and evidence-based recommendations to senior officers and regulatory decision-makers.Flexible work arrangements, subject to operational requirements.Responsibilities:It would be highly desirable to have the following skills and experience:Demonstrated experience in a regulatory, investigative, child-safeguarding or comparable human-services role.Demonstrated experience assessing notifications, complaints, intelligence or other information to identify risk and determine appropriate action.Experience conducting complex investigations, gathering and analysing evidence, interviewing witnesses and preparing defensible findings.Highly developed analytical and critical-reasoning skills, including the capacity to assess adult conduct, behavioural patterns, contextual risk and complex evidence.Demonstrated ability to translate risk assessments into lawful, evidence-based and proportionate regulatory responses.Sound knowledge of administrative law principles and experience interpreting and applying complex legislation.Experience preparing accurate, high-quality briefs of evidence, investigation reports, regulatory correspondence, decisions and recommendations.Highly developed written and verbal communication skills,
