About the company/role: n

Our client, a global environmental organisation, is currently seeking a Control Systems Project Engineer to join their team on the Gold Coast. This is a long-term casual contract role with full-time hours each week.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the initiation and delivery of projects across multiple sites, as well as managing change associated with project implementation.

Duties: n

- Plan and execute projects through the full project lifecycle
n
- Assist with project scoping, planning, estimating, design input, procurement, and tender submissions where required
n
- Deliver assigned projects within budget and agreed schedules, ensuring safe execution across all phases
n
- Liaise with operations, maintenance, procurement, and asset management teams to ensure successful project initiation and delivery
n
- Manage subcontractors and consultants to achieve project outcomes, including site supervision and technical oversight of engineering consultants
n




- Ensure all project activities comply with relevant WHS, environmental, and site-specific requirements
n

Skills/experience: nn
- A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline, or substantial experience in control systems / systems integration.
n
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) in the Electrical area of practice, or eligibility to obtain RPEQ within an agreed timeframe.
n
- Extensive project delivery experience in the water, mining, oil & gas, or manufacturing industries, with robust experience in SCADA and PLC project execution.
n
- Working experience in control systems design, programming, configuration, and commissioning.
n
- Strong working knowledge of Siemens PCS 7 (highly desirable).
n
- Current driver's licence.
n
- Ability to utilise relevant computer software applications (e.g. Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, including MS Project desirable).
