Become a Road Safety Hero that is held in very high esteem in our communities and vital to the safety of our kids, parents, teachers and local motorists. You’ll also grow to be a much-loved familiar face around the school with a unique opportunity to touch the lives of countless families.

This is a casual position which will provide relief at sites in the Wagga Wagga Local Government Area. Shifts may fall between the school zone hours 8:00AM to 9:30AM and 2:30PM to 4:00PM, with a minimum of one hour shift as and when required Monday to Friday during the school term.

You will receive an hourly rate along with superannuation.

This is an in-person, on-site role.

About You

Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of appointment.

All training, uniforms and equipment will be provided.

If you are working with children on our roads, your willingness to obtain a Working with Children Check, Reference Checks, Police Check, and a Health Assessment is vital. If you already have a Working with Children Check, that will speed up the process.

You’ll display effective communication skills and be alert to potential dangers.



You’re reliable and prepared to show up for your community - in good or bad weather.

Recruitment Process

Our talent team will review all applications and be contacting shortlisted candidates by week commencing 01 October 2026 for a quick 5-10 mins phone interview, following panel interviews.

If successful, you will progress to pre-employment checks stage.

Applicants who successfully pass the interview may be considered for a permanent part time position, should a vacancy arise.

A Talent Pool may be created for current and future casual and permanent part time positions over the next 18-month period. If you are deemed suitable at interview and a vacancy arises, you may be contacted and asked to complete pre-employment checks.
