About the role

The Senior Identity Engineer (12m Max Term Contract) is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting secure, scalable Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions across the CBUS technology environment. Working within the Cloud Operations and Shared Services team, you will provide specialist expertise across identity platforms including Identity Providers, Identity Governance and Administration, and Privileged Access Management.

This role is critical to protecting the organisation's digital assets while enabling secure and efficient access to systems, applications and data. You will drive the adoption of modern identity standards, automate identity processes, support incident response activities, and partner with stakeholders to deliver robust identity services that support business objectives and compliance requirements.

Key Accountabilities

- Design, implement and support enterprise IAM solutions across Identity Provider (IdP), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), and Privileged Access Management (PAM) platforms.
- Manage and enhance Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory environments, including identity lifecycle management, authentication and authorisation services.




- Drive IAM automation and platform engineering using Azure DevOps, Git, Terraform, PowerShell and Python.
- Lead IAM operational support, incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis and remediation activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define IAM requirements, integrate identity solutions, and continuously improve IAM processes and controls.

What will you bring?

- Extensive experience in Identity and Access Management engineering, including expertise across multiple IAM domains such as IdP, IGA or PAM.
- Strong understanding of up-to-date IAM standards and protocols including SAML, SCIM, OAuth 2.0, OIDC and FIDO2.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SSO, MFA and enterprise identity platforms.
- Proven capability in automation and Infrastructure as Code using Azure DevOps, Git, Terraform, PowerShell and/or Python.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
