The business operates across commercial, government and defence construction and has a solid pipeline of work throughout South East Queensland.

The Role

n
n

This is a senior, hands-on HSEQ position supporting multiple live projects across the region.

n
n

Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors, you will help project teams manage risk, maintain compliance and consistently apply the company's HSEQ standards.

n
n

This is not a purely office-based systems role. You will spend significant time on site, building relationships with delivery teams and driving practical improvements.

n
n

Responsibilities will include:

n
n

n
n
- Conducting site inspections, audits and compliance reviews
n
n
- Reviewing SWMS and monitoring high-risk construction activities
n
n
- Supporting project teams with day-to-day safety and compliance matters
n
n
- Managing incident investigations, corrective actions and close-out
n
n
- Maintaining HSEQ documentation, registers and reporting systems
n
n
- Supporting site inductions, pre-starts and toolbox meetings
n
n
- Coaching Site Managers, supervisors and subcontractors
n
n
- Supporting client, internal and external audits
n
n
- Identifying and implementing practical HSEQ improvements
n
n
- Travelling between projects across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast
n
n

n

About You




n You will be an experienced construction safety professional who can operate independently while working closely with site-based delivery teams.
n You will ideally have:

n
n

n
n
- Previous experience in a WHS, HSE or HSEQ role within commercial construction
n
n
- Strong knowledge of construction safety legislation and site compliance
n
n
- Experience reviewing SWMS, conducting audits and managing incidents
n
n
- The confidence to work with site teams, subcontractors and senior project staff
n
n
- Strong documentation, reporting and systems capability
n
n
- Experience using HammerTech or a similar HSEQ platform
n
n
- A practical, approachable and solutions-focused style
n
n
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or an equivalent qualification
n
n
- A current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout South East Queensland
n
n

n
n

Experience delivering government, defence or other highly regulated construction projects will be highly regarded.
