This role is central to that work, undertaking research and analysis, developing policy positions and submissions, managing projects, engaging with stakeholders and representing the sector at various committees, forums and working groups.

Key responsibilities

- Our Transport and Roads team is responsible for advocacy, policy, research, support and advice on a diverse range of issues affecting Local Governments throughout the State.
- One of the most exciting aspects of this role is the prospect to learn from, and work alongside a small team of knowledgeable and highly respected subject matter experts while broadening your experience across a range of transport and roads projects and policy areas.
- Beyond your core responsibilities, you'll have the chance to contribute to emerging issues,



collaborate across the broader WALGA team and work directly with Local Governments throughout Western Australia.
- You'll also work closely with Local Governments to provide advice, share information on emerging developments and help build capability across the sector.

What you need

- Due to the regular regional travel associated with this role, the successful candidate must hold a current 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
- Some experience in organising events, forums or workshops as this position plays a big hand in coordinating and running WALGA’s Annual Transport and Roads Forum!
