We are currently seeking a Temporary Works Manager to join our AUKUS team.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the planning,



coordination and governance of all temporary works activities across the project lifecycle, from concept development through to construction, commissioning and removal.
- Ensure temporary works are designed, reviewed, approved and implemented in accordance with project requirements, engineering standards, legislative obligations and company procedures.
- Manage the temporary works design process, ensuring technical compliance, constructability, safety and delivery requirements are achieved.
- Provide leadership and oversight of temporary works risk management, ensuring risks are identified, assessed and mitigated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Act as the primary interface between permanent works designers, temporary works designers, construction teams and key stakeholders to ensure effective integration of design and delivery outcomes.
- Coordinate and facilitate temporary works design reviews, constructability reviews and stakeholder engagements, ensuring actions are tracked through to closure.
- Support project delivery teams by providing technical leadership and guidance on temporary works methodologies, staging strategies and construction solutions.
- Review and manage temporary works design scopes, consultant proposals, cost estimates, variation claims and invoices to ensure value for money and commercial alignment.
- Monitor temporary works performance, programme constraints and design deliverables to ensure project milestones and construction requirements are met.

About You

- Significant experience in temporary works, construction engineering,



design management or engineering leadership roles on major infrastructure, defence, transport, resources or complex building projects.
- Degree qualification in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
- Demonstrated experience managing temporary works design and delivery across large multidisciplinary construction programmes.
- Strong understanding of temporary works governance, engineering assurance, risk management and constructability principles.
- Experience coordinating multiple design consultants, contractors and stakeholder groups within complex project environments.
- Proven ability to manage technical interfaces between design and construction teams and resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Strong knowledge of temporary works standards, regulations and industry best practice.
- Experience reviewing engineering deliverables, technical documentation, design changes and construction methodologies.
- Chartered status or progress towards professional accreditation will be highly regarded.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens and hold or be able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to NV1 level.
