Our client is a listed international FMCG business seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join their Sydney legal team.
This is a wide-ranging, hands-on role suited to a commercial or disputes lawyer with 3+ years' experience who enjoys a genuine mix of regulatory, compliance, corporate, and commercial work.You will support the business across a broad range of matters, including:Provide pragmatic commercial legal advice and support across the business on a wide range of day-to-day operational and strategic matters.Draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, with particular focus on procurement, supply, distribution, manufacturing and service agreements.Advise on regulatory compliance issues, including product regulation, labelling, advertising and marketing standards, and industry-specific requirements.Manage and support litigation, disputes and regulatory investigations, working closely with external counsel where required.Support marketing, sales and brand teams with legal clearance of advertising, promotions,



packaging and consumer-facing materials.Identify, assess and help mitigate legal and compliance risks across the business, contributing to internal policies, training and governance frameworks.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (procurement, commercial, operations, finance and senior leadership) to deliver commercially sound, risk-aware outcomes.What we're looking for3+ years' PQE in a law firm and/or in-house environmentStrong drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating closely with the wider legal and commercial teamsExcellent communication skills and a pragmatic, commercial approachWhat's on offerWork in a dynamic, international organisation with exposure to interesting and diverse legal issues in a highly regulated industry.Solid progression and mentoringCompetitive bonus and salaryWork life balance and flexibility.
