Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Toowoomba or Stanthorpe, Queensland. This permanent, full-time position is ideal for an intermediate or Senior accountant looking to contribute to our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and supporting strategic decision-making within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports in accordance with Australian accounting standards.

- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.

- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support financial planning.

- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.

- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support business decisions.
n
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
n
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.
n
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
n
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a mid-senior capacity.

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
n
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
n
- Knowledge of Australian tax laws and financial regulations.
