The Role

The Technology Risk & Compliance Trainee supports the Bank's risk management and compliance activities while undertaking a structured traineeship program.

The role provides practical experience in reporting, administration, information management, data analysis, stakeholder engagement and governance processes. Through workplace learning, formal training and on-thejob coaching, the trainee develops foundational skills and knowledge in risk and compliance.

Key Accountabilities

Risk and Compliance Support

- Assist with the collection, collation and maintenance of risk and compliance information.
- Support the preparation of reports, presentations and briefing materials.
- Learn how risk and compliance frameworks support the Bank's operations.
- Assist with monitoring and tracking actions, incidents and compliance activities.

Information Management and Administration

- Assist with maintaining records, registers and documentation.
- Support information management processes and systems.
- Assist with document filing, records maintenance and reporting activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in accordance with procedures.

Data Analysis and Reporting





- Assist with the preparation of routine reports and data summaries.
- Support the collection, validation and organisation of data from various sources.
- Learn how information is used to support risk and compliance decision-making.
- Assist with identifying trends and compiling information for reporting purposes.

Stakeholder Support

- Respond to enquiries and provide administrative support to internal stakeholders.
- Assist with the coordination of meetings, workshops and training activities.
- Build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation.
- Support awareness and education activities relating to risk and compliance.

Learning and Development

- Complete all requirements of the traineeship qualification.
- Participate in coaching, training and workplace learning activities.
- Develop knowledge of governance, risk and compliance principles.
- Apply learning from formal training in the workplace.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and career development.

Selection Criteria

- Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander - Confirmation of Aboriginality or a stat dec is required.
- Genuine interest in technology
- Pass a police check
- Basic computer skills
- Completed year 12 or equivalent
