Join the Transport Engineering team within the City Infrastructure branch and contribute to the ongoing management and improvement of the city's transport network. This role plays an important part in resolving traffic, transport, parking and road safety issues while delivering positive outcomes for residents, businesses and the broader community.

Working across a diverse transport environment, you'll provide professional advice, investigate and resolve community concerns, and support the performance of transport infrastructure and assets. You'll contribute to initiatives that support all transport modes, including pedestrians, bicycles, micromobility, public transport, freight, ride share and motor vehicles

In this role, you'll investigate and resolve traffic, transport, parking and road safety matters in a timely and professional manner, working closely with residents, businesses and community groups to understand issues and develop practical solutions. You'll provide high-quality customer service and expert advice to internal and external stakeholders, assess transport and traffic-related matters, and prepare recommendations that improve safety, accessibility and network performance. You'll also support the management and continuous improvement of transport infrastructure and public realm spaces while contributing to projects and initiatives that enhance the movement of people and goods throughout the municipality.

About you

You are a collaborative and customer-focused professional who enjoys working with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve positive community outcomes. You combine technical expertise with strong communication skills and a practical approach to problem-solving.

You will bring experience in transport engineering, traffic engineering or a related discipline, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Your ability to build positive relationships, communicate effectively and balance community expectations with operational requirements will enable you to deliver responsive, professional and high-quality outcomes.

What your experience might look like





- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
- Relevant experience in traffic, transport engineering, parking management, and road safety
- Problem-solving skills to successfully resolve transport issues and implement effective solutions
- Strong time management to handle multiple tasks professionally while ensuring accountability
- Current full Australian Driver Licence
