We are looking for a full-time permanent skilled and experienced Welder (First Class) & Boilermaker to join a highly qualified and cutting-edge team. We require a professional and experienced Welder to perform welding work. The preferred candidate will have relevant previous experience as a trade-qualified welder and ideally have worked previously in an engineering/manufacturing business.n

nYou will be capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabricating the dimensions and shapes that are detailed. You will liaise with the design team during fabrication detailing to ensure the items are capable of efficient manufacture.n
n
nThe job requires you to be physically fit and be able to work towards daily production targets. There is a great opportunity here for the right person to show their capabilities and grow. Neat, accurate work and an eye for detail are essential.n
n
nThis is a full-time position and is available for an immediate start. You can work unsupervised, as well as in a workshop environment and in a safe manner. You will be able to prioritise jobs, self-motivate, work independently and as a team.n

nMinimum Requirements: - At least Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or at least 3 years work experiencen
n
n- Experience with Structural and mechanical works, including steelworks and plate works - Stainless Steel and mild steel fabricationn
n
nResponsibilities:n
n
nIn this role, your primary responsibilities include:n
n
n- Examining work for defects, and measuring with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specificationsn
n
n- Setting up and operating hand and power tools standard to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment, grinders, and carbon rod gaugingn
n
n- Liaising withthe sales team to prioritise daily orders, stock control and product requirementsn
n




n- Welding and processing of mild steel, stainless steel, as well as doing fabrication as requiredn
n
n- Create quality welds according to blueprintsn
n
n- Prepare product to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting steel partsn
n
n- Use measuring instruments to align material accuratelyn
n
n- Inspect welds for accuracyn
n
n- Perform key measurements and visual checksn
n
n- Dress finished products by cleaning, polishing and filingn
n
n- De-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texturen
n
n- Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specificationsn
n
n- Ensure all equipment is correctly set up and used safely, and that all safety devices are in usen
n
n- Assemble items as instructed by the floor supervisorn
n
n- Follow all safety rules and quality standardsn
n
n- Work with team members to maximise productivity and efficiencyn
n
nTo be considered for this role, you must have;n

n- Structural welding and fabrication experience - A solid technical and mechanical aptituden
n
n- Ability to read and interpret drawingsn
n
n- Strict compliance with company policies and proceduresn
