Indigeco is recruiting a Finance Transformation Lead for our NSW Government client. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with a view to extend, supporting a high-profile Enterprise Financial Management program within the Strategy and Transformation portfolio.

This role will suit a senior, hands-on finance transformation skilled who can operate confidently with executive stakeholders while also getting into the detail of process, data, systems, governance and implementation.
n The program is focused on improving financial management practices, systems, structures and governance to support better transparency, accountability and decision-making across the organisation.

ABOUT THE COMPANY
n Our client is a large NSW Government-owned organisation delivering essential infrastructure and operational services across the state.

This is a highly visible transformation program with strong executive sponsorship and a clear focus on practical, implemented change rather than advisory-only recommendations.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

n

- Lead the design and delivery of an Enterprise Financial Management transformation program, ensuring outcomes meet operational, financial and regulatory requirements
n
- Drive the redesign and standardisation of enterprise finance processes and the future-state finance operating model
n
- Improve cost transparency, cost attribution, reporting and decision-support frameworks across the organisation
n
- Strengthen integration across finance, asset management, project management and business planning processes
n
- Act as the business owner for finance data and systems, partnering with Digital, Finance and implementation partners on D365 and related system improvements
n
- Develop and embed finance governance frameworks, policies, standards and controls that improve accountability, auditability and decision-making
n
- Partner with senior leaders, program teams and external vendors to manage risks, resolve issues, drive adoption and deliver sustainable transformation outcomes

YOUR REQUIREMENTS n

n
- Extensive experience in finance transformation, finance business partnering, management accounting, finance operations, ERP implementation or large-scale business transformation
n
- Demonstrated experience delivering finance transformation programs from design through to implementation
n
- Strong understanding of management accounting, cost allocation, financial planning, CAPEX/OPEX treatment and finance governance
n
- Experience redesigning finance operating models, processes, governance frameworks and controls
n
- Experience working with platforms such as Microsoft D365, TM1 or similar ERP and finance systems
n
- Strong stakeholder engagement, executive communication and workshop facilitation skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence decisions
n
- Experience in utilities, regulated infrastructure, government-owned corporations, asset-intensive environments or regulatory costing will be highly regarded
n
