The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be a passionate and skilled Health and Physical Education (HPE) teacher committed to excellence in teaching and learning. They should possess strong professional knowledge and effective teaching practices, with the ability to deliver engaging, student-centred programs aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum. Experience in differentiating learning for students across a range of ability levels, including in split-year settings, will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant should use evidence-based teaching and assessment practices to monitor student progress and inform future planning. They should create safe, positive and inclusive learning environments that promote participation, teamwork, resilience and healthy lifestyles.
The successful applicant will ideally possess the organisational skills and initiative required to coordinate whole-school HPE programs and events, including faction carnivals, cross-country, running club and interschool sport.
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, along with a willingness to collaborate with colleagues, parents and external networks to foster positive community partnerships, will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant should be reflective, proactive and committed to ongoing professional growth, contributing positively to whole-school priorities and a collaborative team environment.
