Home of Lights is coming to Richmond, and we're looking for a confident, creative and customer focused Casual Retail Sales Assistant to join our team.

Home of Lights is a design led destination for decorative lighting. We are passionate about beautiful interiors, great customer experiences and helping our customers find the perfect lighting for their spaces.

This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys both retail and creative content. Alongside assisting customers and maintaining our showroom, you'll have the opportunity to be involved in creating content for the Home of Lights social channels.

We're looking for someone who is comfortable in front of the camera, has a natural and engaging personality, and is happy to feature in videos showcasing our lighting, styling inspiration, new arrivals and what's happening in store.

About the role

As part of our Richmond team, you will:

Welcome customers and provide friendly, knowledgeable service

Assist customers with selecting lighting for their spaces

Build strong product knowledge and confidently provide styling and product advice

Process sales and customer orders

Maintain a beautifully presented and inspiring showroom

Assist with merchandising, displays and new product arrivals

Participate in photo and video content for Home of Lights' business social media channels

Speak on camera for product features, styling content and promotional videos

Work collaboratively with our retail and marketing teams on content ideas

Support the team with general day-to-day showroom operations

About you





We're looking for someone who is:

Friendly, outgoing and confident with customers

Comfortable being filmed and appearing on Home of Lights' business social media channels

Natural and confident speaking on camera

Interested in interiors, styling, design and decorative lighting

Sales focused and enjoys creating a great customer experience

Reliable, organised and able to work independently

Comfortable learning about products and providing recommendations

Well presented with strong communication skills

Creative and enthusiastic about getting involved with social content

Previous retail, sales, interiors or lighting experience would be highly regarded, but we're also open to someone with the right personality, confidence and willingness to learn.

Availability

This is a casual position at our new Richmond location.

Applicants should have flexibility across the week, with weekend availability required. Additional shifts may be available during busy periods, promotions and events.
