The role combines advanced technical expertise in Immunology with laboratory management, staff leadership, quality, problem solving and innovation responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

- The Senior Medical Scientist in Charge (P5) will be responsible for the overall planning, organising, directing and coordinating of research and development (R&D;) activities within the PathWest FSH Immunology laboratory.
- As well as undertaking a criminal record screening and integrity checking, you may also be required to undertake a working with children check (if required for the role) and a pre-employment health assessment.
- Any offer of employment with PathWest is conditional on satisfactory PEHA to ensure you are able to perform the inherent requirements of the position.




- The successful applicant will lead the development and validation of current assays and technologies, support translational research initiatives, and foster a culture of scientific excellence, continuous improvement, and professional development.
