Head of Advancement (Marketing and Community)

Founded in 1983, Swan Christian College is a co-educationalChristian school in Swan Valley, educating around 1,800 studentsfrom Kindergarten to Year 12. The College focuses on developingcharacter and academic excellence with Christ-centred educationthat nurtures the spiritual, academic, emotional, and social growthof every student.

We are seeking a dedicated and communicative Head ofAdvancement to join our team in a full-time,ongoing, position commencing 1 January2027. The successful candidate will lead the College’sAdvancement function, driving strategic marketing, branding, alumniengagement, fundraising, and events to strengthen the College’sprofile and support future enrolment growth. You will buildmeaningful relationships across the College and wider community,leading initiatives that foster engagement, philanthropy and astrong sense of connection to the College’s mission and values.

This is more than a marketing role; it is a meaningfulopportunity to shape how our College’s vision and Christian ethosare experienced, strengthening connection, belonging, and communityfor every family we serve.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development and implementation of the College’sstrategic marketing, branding and communications plans tostrengthen brand awareness and support enrolment growth.
- Manage integrated marketing campaigns across digital, printand media channels, including social media, advertising,publications and promotional materials.
- Use data and market insights to evaluate marketingeffectiveness, guide strategy and communicate the College’svision and values to the wider community.
- Lead the College’s community engagement strategy,strengthening relationships with parents, partners, alumni andthe wider community.




- Plan and deliver whole-of-College events, networkingopportunities and engagement programs that promote theCollege’s mission and foster solid community connections.
- Act as a key communications and relationship lead, buildingpartnerships, supporting stakeholder engagement and creatingopportunities for community participation in College life.

Selection Criteria:

- Demonstrates a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christand is an active member of a Christian Church, living inaccordance with the Association’s Statement of Faith andEducational Objectives.
- A strategic and forward-thinking professional with a growthmindset and relevant experience in a similar role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with theability to build strong relationships and work collaborativelywith staff, parents, students and the wider community.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and strong computerliteracy.
- Holds a current Working with Children card and Departmentof Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check, orwillingness to apply.
