IT Technician (Perth)

Contract: Day Rate: Up to 960/day Super Roster: FIFO ex‑WA Site Type: Major mining operation

Position Summary

This role is responsible for delivering Level 2/3 technical support across a remote mining site. You’ll manage a mix of desktop, network, server and infrastructure tasks, ensuring stable operations for both village and production environments. The position suits a technician who is confident working hands‑on, thrives in remote settings, and can operate independently under pressure.

Core Duties

- Provide Level 2/3 support for onsite users and operational teams.

- Maintain and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals.

- Resolve issues across networking, wireless, communications and connectivity.

- Assist with server, storage and general infrastructure tasks.

- Perform routine maintenance, monitoring, patching and fault remediation.

- Work with enterprise hardware including Cisco, Dell, Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, and site wireless systems.





- Support remote‑site operations and ensure continuity of critical IT services.

- Escalate complex technical issues and collaborate with broader engineering teams.

- Uphold strong communication, documentation and customer service standards.

Candidate Profile

- FIFO experience is mandatory.

- Solid background in Level 2/3 IT support.

- Broad technical capability across:

- Desktop support

- Networking

- Communications

- Servers

- General infrastructure

- Experience in mining or remote‑site environments is highly valued.

- Exposure to Cisco, Dell, UCS, Pure Storage and wireless technologies is beneficial.

- Solid communication skills and confidence dealing with stakeholders.

- Comfortable working solo in hot, remote and demanding conditions.

- OT/industrial technology experience is a bonus.
