Farming Maintenance and Machine operator

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with solid farming experience who is comfortable operating machinery, carrying out general repairs and maintenance, and assisting with the day‑day operation of a large family farming business.

Key responsibilities

Operating tractors, loaders, and other farm machinery

Operating trucks subject to appropriate licensing

General farm maintenance and handyman duties

Repairing and maintaining farm equipment

Carrying out basic servicing of tractors, loaders, and other machinery

Identifying equipment faults and completing minor mechanical repairs

General property and infrastructure maintenance

Assisting with poultry farm operations when required

Maintaining equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition

Supporting the farm management team with general operational duties

About you

Previous farm or agricultural experience – essential

Poultry farm experience would be an advantage

Experience operating tractors and loaders

Truck driving experience and an appropriate licence would be highly regarded

Good practical handyman and maintenance skills





Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to service and repair farm machinery

The ability to work independently and use initiative

A reliable and practical approach to work

A strong understanding of workplace safety

The ability to work as part of a team

Working Arrangements

The position requires the successful applicant to be available to work every second weekend as part of the normal farm roster.

Some flexibility may also be required from time to time due to the nature of farming and livestock operations.

Salary is negotiable and will be based on the applicant's experience, skills, and qualifications.
