Due to continued growth, we are seeking to recruit aChef/Cookon a permanent full-time basis to join our friendly food services team. You’ll help prepare nutritious meals for older people in our community while enjoying a supportive workplace and predictable daytime shifts.An immediate start is available for the right candidate.

About the Role

This is a fast‑paced production kitchen environment that suits someone who enjoys staying busy, working efficiently, and being part of a team that gets things done. Key responsibilities of the role include –

- Preparing high quality,

- Maintaining strong food safety, hygiene, and quality standards
- Supporting daily production targets and smooth kitchen operations
- Contributing to a positive, collaborative team culture

About You

- Qualified Chef or experienced Cook in a rapid paced Commercial Kitchen
- Strong understanding of food safety, WHS, and kitchen processes
- Team focused, reliable, and organised‑focused, reliable, and organised

A market-competitive salary will be offered based on experience.

Additionally, as a not-for-profit, Newcastle Meals on Wheels has theadditionalemployee benefit of salary sacrificing arrangements. This allows employees to sacrifice up to $15,900 (set by the ATO, as anadditionaltax-freeportion) in approved household expenses (e.g. rent, mortgage, utilities, meals, car leasing).
